Happiness is established in our own mindstream快乐安立于自己的心相续

Happinessisestablished inourown mindstream,notthroughexternalcircumstances.
Asadharmapractitioner,itisimportanttoobserveand examineoneself,ratherthan lookforcausesinothers or in external circumstances. We should check whether our own practice is goodor bad; whether we are on the right pathof Dharma practice, and whether we are reallypracticing authentic Buddhadharma.
From theperspective of the five poisons (desire,anger, ignorance, pride, jealousy), weshouldcritically observe what non-virtuous actions we have committed throughbody, speech and mind. We would be kiddingourselves to assume our body, speech and mind are not tainted by these fivepoisons. Why? Because if we were not affected by them we wouldn’t be mired insamsara. It is because we still do possess the five poisons that we stay stuckwhere we are.
So we must recognize and take action against the five poisons within ourmindstream. At the same time, we must confessour wrong doings, repent and vowneverto commit such actions again. Similarly, we should advise the peoplearound us to also recognize their mistakes andrefrain from wrong doing.
快乐安立于自己的心相续,而不是安立在外境上。
作为修行人,最重要的是多观察自己,而非观察外境和他人。要看一看自己的修行是好还是不好,看一看自己是否走在清净的修法之道上、自己是否真正在修持清净的正法。
从贪、嗔、痴、嫉、慢的角度,好好地观察自己在身、语、意上都造作了哪些恶业。如果认为“我身语意上没有贪嗔痴嫉慢”,那真的是在撒谎。为什么呢?因为如果没有贪嗔痴嫉慢,我们就不会在轮回中漂泊。正因为有贪嗔痴嫉慢,我们才会在轮回中漂泊。
我们要认知并对治自相续的贪嗔痴嫉慢五毒烦恼,不仅如此,还要好好忏悔发愿以后不再造重大恶业。同时也要劝勉周围的人,让他们逐渐认识自己的错误,以后不再造相似的恶业。
